History

The research edition, data periods, and maintenance record for this topic.

This record identifies the research edition and the scope of subsequent maintenance. It is not a court history, a record of representation, or an attorney-review certification.

Edition record

September 28, 2026 · Initial edition

Created the national Car Accident Lawyer topic article, with explanations of legal representation, evidence, fault, insurance, damages, fees, deadlines, settlement, and lawyer selection.

Added 38 source references, four original data charts, a glossary, and a Resources directory. Observation years and preliminary figures are labeled individually. The supplied wiki layout was adapted for a topic rather than a person.

Statistical editions

The 2024 crash overview and 2025 early fatality estimate were published by NHTSA in April 2026. Other research uses earlier observation periods, including 2017–2021 drowsy-driving data, 2023 uninsured-motorist estimates, and 2019 economic costs. A source-check date does not change the age of those observations.

Future revisions

Record meaningful changes here with their actual dates: a revised statistic, a corrected source, a substantive legal update, or a documented professional review. Preserve the distinction between observed data, projections and hypothetical examples. Replace superseded figures with their source definitions and captions intact.

Editorial status

The current edition presents general U.S. legal information. No named attorney review or publisher affiliation is claimed. State-specific deadlines and individual insurance obligations require their own analysis.
